Being able to share the great gift of art with others fuels our pride and practice.
That's why we're so committed at LEAP to providing unique opportunities for our members to exhibit
their ever-blossoming skills and talents before their family, friends and fans on a regular basis.
As often as we could, we provide sneak-peeks into their progress through social media and invite parents, friends and even judges into our studio to witness their work
through mini-recitals, contests, team and esteem-building exercises and exhibitions.
One of our greatest joys in this respect, however, is the fact that at least once per year,
we host a grand production - 'musical theatre style', which brings our dance and
drama teams together wonderfully, to perform live before a large audience.
Our shows are magnetic! They sell out rapidly, and draw large crowds,
as our proficient LEAPers have nobly developed an unbreakable reputation
across the nation for quality entertainment!
In our 13+ years of operation to date, we have hosted 14 productions

A creative commentary on the state of traditional educational institutions. This was our plea for schools to include more art programs in their curricula, as we took the audience on the journey of a character Merlyn, a student stuck in LEAPDale High, which catered only to STEM Kids. With a dash of humor, we saw Merlyn's struggle in each of her classes as an aspiring magician, which eventually prompted her teachers and parents to send her off to Magic School where she found her voice.
We've done two shows back to back before, but usually in the format of a debut night, followed by an encore. The Wizard of Oz is historical, as it is the first time LEAP has presented two separate shows, under one big theme and story line. Those who joined us on Night One experienced 'The Yellow Brick Road' and our Night Two audience witnessed 'The Emerald City', all based on the classic tale, but with our own unique LEAP-style twists!
This was Ava's story - an innocent girl who fell victim to gun violence, an issue that unfortunately plagues our society. It was a highly critical commentary on social ills, making this show perhaps one of our most memorable and impactful ones. We had something to say and we used beautiful, captivating choreography to say it.
